Education has long been central to our work in Cambodia. Over the years, each visit has deepened our understanding of how learning grows through collaboration, access to the right tools, and the commitment of the communities and educators we work alongside.
During this year’s trip, the contribution formed part of a broader collective effort. Nearly 20 laptops and desktop computers were brought to Cambodia by volunteers, generously donated by LWT and The IT Factory. Each device was transported personally as part of the volunteers’ luggage — a small but meaningful reflection of the care and commitment behind the work.
Nine of these computers were donated to the head of The Holy Church school in Bek Chan, Kandal Province. They will be used in the school’s after-school IT program, providing local village children with access to technology and digital skills in a safe, supported environment.
For many of these students, this access represents more than learning how to use a computer. It means time to practise, to explore, and to learn without limitation — something often taken for granted elsewhere. It offers students the opportunity to build confidence, develop practical skills, and begin to see technology as something they can use, understand, and grow with.
This impact was echoed by Horaios Ministry Cambodia, who shared:
“The Australian-Cambodian Collaboration has been a significant blessing to Horaios Ministry Cambodia. We extend our sincere appreciation for the continued assistance provided through the donation of laptops to six (6) students residing at the Horaios Dormitory. Our students were very happy when they received the laptops, a moment that reflects the impact of this generous support.”

Alongside these donations, our interactive screens were shipped directly to Cambodia, continuing our long-standing support for learning through technology. With AirServer already integrated into our screens, teachers and students can share content wirelessly, making lessons more collaborative and engaging.
Ultimately, the impact goes beyond the technology itself. Access to these tools helps foster confidence, curiosity, and a sense of possibility — allowing students to explore new interests and imagine future pathways.
As the service trip continues, these moments of support — both large and small — form part of a wider, ongoing relationship with local schools and communities.
More stories will follow in the coming days as the team continues its work across Cambodia.
